We are seeking an experienced Executive Sushi Artisan to join our team at KIBO MARKET UNION.

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

  • This is a permanent full-time position working 30 hours per week.
  • As an Executive Sushi Artisan, you will be responsible for maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
  • You will also create new recipes, instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, and supervise cooks and other kitchen staff.
  • In addition, you will prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions, prepare and cook meals or specialty foods, requisition food and kitchen supplies, plan menus, and ensure food meets quality standards.
  • You will also train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and supervise up to 10 people.
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role and be proficient in Japanese cuisine and sushi preparation techniques.

Requirements:

  • Degree in culinary arts or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
