Job Opportunity: Senior Support Team Manager

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Senior Support Team Manager at Community Living Society in Surrey. This is a permanent full-time position that requires a Class 5 driver's license, First Aid and CPR Certificate, and a clear criminal record.

About the Role

The successful candidate will provide support to the Manager of Staffed Homes, acting as a day-to-day contact, problem solver, and coach for a team of Community Living Counsellors. They will work closely with the team to provide meaningful and role-model Person-Centered Active Supports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and engage individuals to live as full citizens
  • Support the Manager with administrative and financial tasks
  • Encourage and motivate a team of Counsellors
  • Support individuals with various life goals
  • Home support duties (including personal care, bathing, bathroom support, meal preparation, and light housekeeping)
  • Community outings (including volunteering, paid employment, and leisure activities)
  • Maintaining records of daily activities and goal progression
  • Coaching, role-modeling, and mentoring your team in appropriate support techniques

About You

To be successful in this role, you should have experience in providing sound, consistent, and caring support to adults with developmental disabilities, coupled with leadership and management skills. You should be motivated by enabling individuals to achieve greater success in certain areas of their lives by providing skills and opportunities to develop, participate in community activities, obtain volunteer or paid employment, and learn tasks of daily living.
