Corporate Lawyer Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer Assistant to join our team at kdc/one in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating corporate files and records across the entire kdc/one group, including subsidiaries in 14 countries. This is a pivotal role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare documentation for corporate registry filings, intercompany operations, and corporate reorganizations
- Coordinate with external legal advisors worldwide for record-keeping purposes
- Update minute books and corporate registers of kdc/one's subsidiaries using an entity management tool
- Assist the Legal Affairs Department in M&A, refinancing, and other special projects
- Act as the primary point of contact for 'know your client' (KYC) and 'ultimate beneficial owner' (UBO) requests
- Ensure accurate updates of the corporate organization chart of kdc/one and its subsidiaries
- Support the Corporate Secretary in preparing board meetings and quarterly processes
- Participate in standardizing corporate legal processes
- Coordinate and confirm legal information required by other departments
- Contribute to various projects carried out by the Legal Affairs Department
Requirements:
- Paralegal certificate or degree in a relevant field (preferred)
- More than three years of experience within an in-house legal department and/or law firm
- International entity management experience (considered an asset)
- Determination and attention to detail
- Autonomy, dynamism, and proactivity
- Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, One Drive, Visio
- Knowledge of governance software like Diligent (considered an asset)
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on experience.
