Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Lawyer Assistant to join our team at kdc/one in Longueuil, Quebec, Canada.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating corporate files and records across the entire kdc/one group, including subsidiaries in 14 countries. This is a pivotal role that requires strong organizational and communication skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepare documentation for corporate registry filings, intercompany operations, and corporate reorganizations
  • Coordinate with external legal advisors worldwide for record-keeping purposes
  • Update minute books and corporate registers of kdc/one's subsidiaries using an entity management tool
  • Assist the Legal Affairs Department in M&A, refinancing, and other special projects
  • Act as the primary point of contact for 'know your client' (KYC) and 'ultimate beneficial owner' (UBO) requests
  • Ensure accurate updates of the corporate organization chart of kdc/one and its subsidiaries
  • Support the Corporate Secretary in preparing board meetings and quarterly processes
  • Participate in standardizing corporate legal processes
  • Coordinate and confirm legal information required by other departments
  • Contribute to various projects carried out by the Legal Affairs Department

Requirements:

  • Paralegal certificate or degree in a relevant field (preferred)
  • More than three years of experience within an in-house legal department and/or law firm
  • International entity management experience (considered an asset)
  • Determination and attention to detail
  • Autonomy, dynamism, and proactivity
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on new challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English and French (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, One Drive, Visio
  • Knowledge of governance software like Diligent (considered an asset)

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 CAD, depending on experience.
