Legal Operations & Contracts Specialist
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Manage day-to-day operations and improvements of the legal team management solution, and help the legal team in using it to its full potential.
- Efficiently collaborate with the legal team and critical cross-functional partners such as commercial, procurement and sourcing teams on a range of projects to help continuously optimize contractual processes/operations and develop best practices.
- Responsible for contract database administration, ensuring proper workflows and notice periods are being followed.
- Track customer and supplier agreements, expiration dates and important contract provisions.
- Manage onboarding and training sessions on the legal management solution, its updates and on new processes implemented.
- Assist with the development and automation of contract templates and workflow.
- Track, compile, and analyze KPI metrics of the legal team.
- Responsible for the implementation of a new NDA automation tool, as well as associated training and support.
- Provide contract signature routing and contract search.
- Organize information, collect data, and perform research as needed.
**Key requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
- Relevant experience supporting or working with in-house legal teams and/or lawyers within a law firm.
- Experience with direct contract administration, contract databases and developing workflows and protocols will be considered an asset.
- Experience independently planning, organizing, and prioritizing time and competing deadlines to complete job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly detailed oriented and takes initiative to anticipate future needs, identify issues, and propose and implement solutions.
- Understanding of commercial contracts and other general business contracts.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with ability to effectively contribute to cross-functional teams in the execution and implementation of contract administration process enhancements.
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office/ SharePoint/ One Drive.
