We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Specialist to join our Consulting Services team in Halifax, Nova Scotia. As a Risk Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients across various Verisk products, with a primary focus on the Analyze Re Product Suite.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Advocacy
- Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, providing expert guidance and support to help them achieve their business objectives.
- Technical Support
- Respond to client inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate and concise solutions to their technical needs.
- Relationship Building
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, understanding their workflows and objectives to provide proactive support and guidance.
- Training and Development
- Design and deliver training programs to new and existing clients, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to optimize our solutions.
- Project Support
- Collaborate with our project management team to ensure seamless onboarding and implementation of our solutions.
- Product Support
- Provide technical support and guidance to our clients during product change management efforts, ensuring a smooth transition to new features and releases.
- Sales Support
- Work closely with our business development team to provide technical and pre-sales support, leading demos and presentations to prospective and existing clients.

Requirements
- Client Service Focus
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing tasks and prioritize client needs.
- Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, actuarial science, business, or computer science.
- 1+ years' experience in consulting, reinsurance, or insurance, with a strong understanding of risk management principles.
- Technical Skills
- Excellent skills in Excel and experience with tools such as Python or C#.
- Soft Skills
- Detailed and results-oriented, with a proactive problem-solving approach.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
