Job Summary:

As a key member of the Whistler Blackcomb retail team, the Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth. This dynamic individual will be responsible for leading daily store operations, managing a team of retail staff, and maintaining a high level of product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily store operations, including scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Manage a team of retail staff, providing coaching, training, and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products, promotions, and sales strategies.
  • Develop and implement sales plans to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
  • Monitor and analyze sales data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the store management team to achieve business objectives and improve store performance.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; business-related education or training preferred.
  • 1-3 years of retail management experience, preferably in a ski resort or outdoor industry setting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret sales data and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
