About the Role:

The Assistant Store Manager is a key leadership position at Rexall Pharmacy Group ULC, responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence in our stores.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management: Assist the Front Store Manager in leading a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure team members achieve their full potential.
  • Customer Service and Patient Care: Ensure exceptional customer service and patient care by promoting a positive store environment, resolving customer complaints, and fostering a culture of empathy and understanding.
  • Store Operations and Sales: Assist in achieving and maintaining budgeted sales, gross profit, EBITDA, inventory targets, labor costs, shrink, and controllable store expenses by implementing effective sales strategies, managing inventory, and controlling costs.
  • Marketing and Merchandising: Champion and model the development of subject matter expertise at store level, including health and wellness product knowledge, merchandising, loss prevention, health and safety, and exceptional pharmacy/patient care.
  • Financial Management: Assist in reviewing and analyzing financial reports, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing cost-saving initiatives to drive business growth.


Requirements:

  • Leadership Experience: Previous supervisory experience within a retail environment required.
  • Industry Knowledge: 1-2 years of experience within a retail environment, with a strong understanding of the pharmacy industry and its challenges.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Proven customer service skills, effective communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with team members, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze financial reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving initiatives to drive business growth.
