About the Role

The Senior Manager, Donor Services is a key leadership position within our organization, responsible for overseeing the Donor Services team and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of donations. This role requires a strong leader who can provide guidance and support to team members, while also driving continuous improvement and process redesign initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and coaching to the Donor Services team, focusing on exceptional donor and team member experiences.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and within expected timelines.
  • Ensure all donor details, gift, and financial information are accurate, secured, and stored in compliance with current regulations.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain compliance with legislated tax receipting policies.
  • Lead year-end external audit processes and oversee the reconciliation of transactions in the Foundation database with the Accounting system's general ledger.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor the DS department's annual budget.
  • Support transformation initiatives by collaborating with internal and external partners and leading cross-functional teams in strategy development.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or database management, with a strong financial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent digital literacy and experience working with multiple information systems, including Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT.
  • Strong knowledge of CRA, PCI, and Privacy regulations and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of Lean and Human Centered Design methodologies and techniques.
  • Proven track record of inspiring, coaching, and mentoring a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential/sensitive material.
