About the Role

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our client's high-rise construction project in the Hamilton/Burlington area. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the project's progress, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Coordinate and manage all building trades and materials, ensuring compliance with contract documents and Ontario Building Code.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, monitor progress, and identify potential issues.
  • Manage and coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Implement and maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.
  • Prepare and issue requests for information (RFIs) and coordinate mock-ups for review and approval.
  • Manage and coordinate site instructions, consultant inspections, and testing.
  • Document and monitor defects and deficiencies, and ensure timely correction.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, manpower, and resources.
  • Manage rental equipment, concrete, and rebar supply, and maintain records of variations to trade contracts.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in supervising large construction projects, with significant experience in high-rise construction and Ontario Building Code.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction management disciplines, including safety compliance, scheduling, cost control, and quality control.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Effective interpersonal skills to communicate with project stakeholders, including vendors, subcontractors, staff, and senior management.
  • Ability to evaluate performance, coach crew members, and develop a highly functional team.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $145,000, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package.
