About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Construction & More Corp. as a key member of our construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roof Installation and Repair: Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes, and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Supervision and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Project Management: Estimate costs and materials, and operate CADD and other computer software systems to manage construction projects.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces below or above ground level, and erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications, and work effectively with colleagues to achieve project goals.
Work Environment

This is a physically demanding role that requires working in a fast-paced environment with a large workload. The successful candidate will be required to work overtime and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in roofing or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, client focus, dependability, reliability, and team player.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent role with a 37.5-hour workweek. The work language is English, and the work term is permanent.
