We are seeking a skilled and experienced Stone Product Processing Technician to join our team at State Flooring. In this role, you will be responsible for operating various machines to process stone products, ensuring high-quality finishes and meeting customer demands.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs or other stone products to specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish.
- Perform ongoing machine adjustments to maintain optimal performance and efficiency.
- Cut cured concrete pipe sections with saw or chisel and cement sections together to form odd-shaped fittings.
- Construct clay models and moulds for use in casting concrete products.
- Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions.
- Drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field and a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. The work environment will involve handling heavy loads, requiring attention to detail and physical capabilities. We offer a competitive salary of $50,000 - $65,000 per year, along with permanent work terms and English as the primary language spoken on-site. Our working hours range from 32 to 40 hours per week.
