About the Role:

As a seasoned construction professional, you will oversee the planning and execution of various projects, including the restoration of a historic church. Your expertise in project management and risk assessment will ensure timely completion within budget. You will also mentor and develop a team of professionals, sharing industry best practices to drive project success.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage contract administration, ensuring projects are constructed according to design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
  • Develop and implement project safety plans, leading by example in health and safety practices.
  • Negotiate and issue subcontracts, major purchase orders, and progress payments.
  • Oversee construction schedules, ensuring site activities, completion dates, and milestones are met.
  • Forecast and order material requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure quality standards.
  • Provide people leadership and mentorship, promoting positive morale among project/site staff and subcontractors.
  • Oversee project closeout.

Requirements:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience as a Project or Construction Manager in multi-unit residential, commercial, or institutional construction.
  • Experience with concrete construction methods.
  • Sound knowledge of multi-unit construction and building techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience promoting safety standards and policies.
  • Effective supervision, team coordination, and scheduling of construction activities.
  • Able to anticipate and resolve constructability issues.
  • Lead and run effective site meetings.
