About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Tile Setter to join our team at 1919998 ALBERTA INC. As a Tile Setter, you will be responsible for installing ceramic tiles in various settings, including walls, floors, and countertops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tile Installation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tiles. Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels.
  • Tile Setting: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base. Align and straighten tiles to ensure a professional finish.
  • Mosaic Design: Create decorative wall, mural, and floor designs using mosaic tiles.
  • Grouting: Pack grout into joints between tiles and remove excess grout.
  • Tile Repair: Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in tile setting or a related field.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work, requiring bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, dependable, and reliable.
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: On-site customer service.
  • Work Conditions: Dusty work environment.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and own vehicle.
