Job Title: Early Childhood Assistant

Elder Tree Montessori is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team. As an Early Childhood Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs of our early childhood educators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including cleaning and organizing the daycare area.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing activities that promote children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Support children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children and report any concerns to early childhood educators or supervisors.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss children's progress and any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position, 35 hours per week.
  • English language proficiency.
