About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Elder Tree Montessori. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities and programs for our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe and organized environment for our children, including daycare equipment and supplies.
  • Engage children in creative activities, such as storytelling, arts and crafts, and music.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Support children in developing good habits, such as eating, dressing, and using the bathroom.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for lunch and rest periods.
  • Observe children and report any concerns to early childhood educators or supervisors.
Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent position, 35 hours per week.
  • Fluent in English.
