Job Summary:


We are seeking a skilled Loan Servicing Professional to join our team in Montreal, Quebec. As a key member of our Global Banking Technology & Operations (GBTO) team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch loan servicing support to our clients.



About the Role

The Loan Servicing Group is a vital component of our GBTO division, overseeing the booking and administration of loans for our New York branch. Your primary duties will involve managing loan transactions, performing analysis and reconciliation of fee and interest accruals, and ensuring seamless communication with colleagues and clients.



Key Responsibilities


  • Review, verify, and authorize daily loan transactions
  • Analyze and reconcile fee and interest accruals
  • Manage booking loans, including Commercial Paper, Non-performing, and Direct/Agented facilities
  • Prepare notices of activities for loan confirmation
  • Review and prepare loan forms related to new borrowings, increases, rollovers, pay-downs, commitment reductions, etc.
  • Transfer loan proceeds daily
  • Prepare and send interest and fee billings on all direct/agented loans
  • Process interest, commitment fees, and investigate discrepancies when necessary
  • Post GL entries as required
  • Monitor facilities through system-generated reports
  • Reconcile Open Cash, Suspense, and Past Due processing


Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:




  • Minimum 5 years prior experience in Commercial Lending using the LoanIQ application
  • Agency servicing experience
  • Demonstrated exposure in supporting various portfolios (Agent and Participation)
  • Knowledge of Financial Products (Loans, Guarantee, Standby Letter of Credit)
  • Strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong time management/organizational skills


Preferred Qualifications

International banking experience is an asset.



Education

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.



Language

Candidates must be proficient in French and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.



Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits package.
