Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Bolton Alignment & Truck Repair Inc. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our heavy trucks and farm equipment. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical issues will be invaluable in keeping our fleet running smoothly.
Key responsibilities include:
- Instructing apprentices in the art of heavy equipment repair
- Troubleshooting and inspecting equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
- Diagnosing faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
- Ordering parts and maintaining inventory
- Adjusting equipment and repairing or replacing defective parts
- Keeping maintenance reports and documentation
- Performing routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and welding
- Verifying and repairing emission control systems
As a Truck Repair Specialist, you will be responsible for performing repair work on heavy trucks, including servicing attachments and working tools. Your attention to detail and ability to work independently will be essential in meeting the demands of this role.
Key qualifications include:
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in heavy equipment repair
- Accurate and reliable with a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment
