Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic III. In this role, you will assist experienced technicians with vehicle repairs and maintenance, while also learning from industry-leading trucks, technology, and experts.
Key Responsibilities- Repair and Maintenance: Assist with minor component repair or replacement, and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles as trained.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service duties as necessary, including picking up and delivering vehicles.
- Maintenance of Work Area: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Practical Experience: 1-2 years of experience with vehicle repair or truck repair is preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational/technical certification is preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Must possess a valid driver's license (class G or class 5) and be able to obtain a class DZ license within six months of hiring; basic computer skills for data entry into maintenance systems are also required.
Penske offers a competitive salary, attractive shift premiums, and a comprehensive benefits package, including:
- Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year (estimated based on location and experience).
- Shift Premiums: Earn additional pay for working 2nd shift ($3) or 3rd shift ($4), as well as weekend shifts ($3).
