About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Technician/Mechanic III to join our team in Etobicoke, ON. As a key member of our vehicle maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, repairing minor components, and assisting with major repairs under the guidance of a lead technician or supervisor.

About You:

">

To be successful in this role, you will have 1-2 years of practical experience with vehicle repair or truck repair, a high school diploma or equivalent, and vocational/technical certification preferred. You must also possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and be willing to learn new skills and technologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Routine Maintenance Tasks: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.">
  • Minor Component Repair: Repair minor components, such as brakes (air and hydraulic), fifth wheel, cab components, and accessories.">
  • Major Repairs: Assist with major repairs, such as engine replacement, transmission repair, and electrical system repair, under the guidance of a lead technician or supervisor.">
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.">
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other technicians, mechanics, and supervisors to achieve team goals and objectives.">

Qualifications:

  • ">
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical certification preferred.">
  • Experience: 1-2 years of practical experience with vehicle repair or truck repair preferred.">
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently, and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.">
  • Licensing: Current driver's license class G or class 5 and ability to obtain class DZ within 6 months of being hired required.">
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 45kg, stand for long periods, and use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.">
