Responsibilities:
\u2022 Develop and program software specific to customer requirements
\u2022 Troubleshoot controls and electrical equipment at customer facilities and make necessary adjustments to bring equipment up to running status
\u2022 Report and correct abnormal equipment conditions and inaccurate actions by customer staff
\u2022 Work independently or as part of a team to ensure alignment of customer objectives with on-site work plans
\u2022 Support developing operating and troubleshooting knowledge of the operations team
\u2022 Review and suggest additional tools or equipment necessary to better operate or maintain customer equipment
\u2022 Make recommendations to repair or replace only items that require repair or replacement
\u2022 Travel to domestic and international customer locations for long and short-term support
\u2022 Lead on-site teams and liaise with customers and ATS Project Managers
\u2022 Coordinate third-party vendors and assist in resolving technical issues as required
\u2022 Complete detailed Service Reports for services provided on a daily/weekly basis
\u2022 Be available to be on call on a rotational basis
\u2022 Communicate with internal and external customers to understand needs and support resources and solutions accordingly
\u2022 Facilitate warranty/non-warranty claims with customers
\u2022 Take initiative, be innovative, and have a keen attention to detail
\u2022 Ability to work effectively in fast-paced multitasking environments with plant engineers, external vendors, operators, and management to manage projects and assignments
Requirements:
\u2022 A post-secondary diploma or degree specializing in programming/electrical engineering or equivalent
\u2022 A minimum of four years of experience in a hands-on automation/control environment
\u2022 3+ years of experience programming PLCs and Human/Machine Interfaces (HMI) using Allen Bradley or Siemens software
\u2022 Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and well-developed interpersonal skills to work with all levels of customer and ATS management in a multi-disciplined engineering environment under pressure
\u2022 An excellent understanding of pneumatic, electrical, and multiple controls systems, along with the ability to read drawings, reference manuals, and systems instruction guides
\u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
\u2022 Ability to quickly gain knowledge to readily troubleshoot systems
