Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Lead Analyst to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Quality Assurance Lead Analyst, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the testing of medium to large projects using multiple delivery channels across various platforms, configurations, and environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the testing of medium to large projects using multiple delivery channels across various platforms, configurations, and environments.
  • Work closely with the development team to decide where to build automated and manual tests, develop test data, construct, and execute exploratory, system, regression, migration, back-end, and user acceptance tests.
  • Determine whether to create any complex environments or any major improvements for the automation frameworks.
  • Develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
  • Work closely with product owners, business analysts, and development teams to understand business functions and requirements.
  • Report to the Senior Manager QA.

Requirements:

  • Strong QA Lead experience around 7-8 years and have done Planning, estimation, etc.
  • Extensive understanding of code management, server, and applications layering, environment configuration, and databases.
  • Initiate and perform software fault source diagnosis.
  • Strong working knowledge of PCs and department-related software.
  • Ideally have worked on agile and waterfall projects in the past and capable of thriving on fast-paced, challenging environments and must be proactive and dynamic, and demonstrate initiative and eagerness to learn.
  • Understanding of automation tools with experience to use automation scripts for project testing is an asset.
  • Well-developed leadership ability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Superior analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach to project testing.
  • Experience with retail investment banking/products is an asset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Opentext Exstream or Xpression.
