About the Role:
The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is a key member of our Housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and quality. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping Department, including scheduling, training, and supervising staff.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards.
- Collaborate with the Front Office team to ensure that guest rooms are ready for occupancy in a timely manner.
- Assist with training and development of housekeeping staff, including coaching and mentoring.
- Assume responsibility for the Department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of Housekeeping.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of progressive managerial or supervisory experience in a luxury hotel, with a focus on Housekeeping.
- Experience managing within a unionized work environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and OPERA PMS.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
