About the Role:

The Housekeeping Assistant Manager is a key member of our Housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring that our guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and quality. This role requires a strong leader who can motivate and inspire a team of housekeeping staff to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain planned cleaning schedules to ensure guest rooms and public areas are clean and ready for guests
  • Work closely with the Front Office team to ensure seamless communication and coordination
  • Assist Supervisors with training and supervision of Housekeeping staff
  • Assume responsibility for the Department in the absence of the Director or Assistant Director of Housekeeping

Requirements:

  • Two to three years of progressive managerial or supervisory experience in a luxury hotel with experience in Housekeeping
  • Experience managing within a unionized work environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task on several assignments at once
  • Computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Previous experience with OPERA PMS and HotSOS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication in English
  • Additional language a definite asset for career growth
