About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Administrative Assistant to join our team at YYC Flooring Solutions. As an Office Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Planning: Arrange and coordinate seminars, conferences, and other events to support our business objectives.
  • Team Support: Supervise and support other workers to ensure the efficient completion of tasks.
  • Scheduling: Schedule and confirm appointments, meetings, and other events.
  • Communication: Answer telephone calls, relay messages, and respond to electronic enquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Office Management: Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure the office is well-stocked and organized.
  • Customer Service: Greet visitors, direct them to contacts or service areas, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Documentation: Type and proofread correspondence, forms, and other documents to ensure accuracy and professionalism.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Cultural Competency: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
  • Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth to support their development and growth.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week.
