We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate to join our Pension Administration team at Aon Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality service to our Defined Benefit Pension clients.
Key Responsibilities- Calculate and Authorize Benefit Entitlements: Ensure accurate calculation and authorization of benefit entitlements on retirement, termination, death, and marriage breakdown.
- Year-End Update and Reconciliation: Update plan records, reconcile membership, contributions, and trust fund, and ensure accurate year-end data input and verification of computer output.
- Pension Administration and Calculation: Calculate and review PAs, PSPAs, and PARs, and prepare applicable filing forms, including Annual Information Return, Form 7, and PBGF forms.
- Client Communication and Support: Communicate with clients regarding data, administration, and interpretation of pension plan text, and provide technical support during client meetings.
- Team Collaboration and Progress Tracking: Track team progress, coordinate with various departments, and ensure timely delivery of services.
- System Setup and Testing: Assist with the setup and testing of the system for new and existing clients according to plan provisions and administrative requirements.
- Standard Operating Procedure Development: Assist with the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures.
- Member Support and Liaison: Respond to member calls, facilitate requests, and liaise with trust company and plan auditors.
- Client Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- 2+ Years of Experience: Working with Defined Benefit pension plans, preferably in a similar role.
- Education and Skills: Education in Math, Statistics, Actuarial Sciences, and Finance, with strong spreadsheet competencies, math proficiency, and experience with pension administration systems.
- Knowledge and Certifications: Knowledge of related provincial and federal pension legislation, Income Tax Act provisions, and certifications such as CEBS, PPAC, CHRP, or actuarial courses.
- Communication and Teamwork: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to work in a team environment and provide client-service approach.
