Overview of the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Director to lead our community development and service excellence initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to join our team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and communities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs that promote community engagement, social services, and human well-being. They will work closely with management staff to achieve cohesive program delivery, interface with partners, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Engage with management staff to identify program goals and objectives aligned with organizational policy and values.
  • Evaluate programs and provide feedback to management staff and the Executive Director as needed.
  • Oversee volunteer/student or agency secondments in conjunction with relevant program supervisors.
  • Provide information and consultation with outside groups and agencies about Cornerstone Programs and projects.
  • Attend meetings in the community or with the Region of Durham as required or delegated by the Executive Director.
Key Performance Indicators
  • Evaluating program effectiveness and recommending improvements.
  • Fostering partnerships and collaborations with community organizations.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports on program activities and outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive supervisory and managerial experience in a social services or human services organization.
  • An undergraduate degree from a recognized university in administration, social services, organizational development, or human resources.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, team-building, training, coaching, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
