Retail Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Manager to join our team at Macs Convenience Store. As a Retail Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Hiring and Training: Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service.
- Financial Management: Authorize payments by cheque and ensure that all financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date.
- Merchandise Management: Order merchandise and authorize the return of merchandise to ensure that our store is well-stocked and that we are not overstocked.
- Scheduling: Establish work schedules to ensure that our store is adequately staffed at all times.
- Sales and Marketing: Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to help us make informed business decisions.
- Customer Service: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages, to ensure that our customers receive exceptional service.
- Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory to ensure that our store is well-stocked and that we are not overstocked.
- Supervision: Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Work Setting: Retail business.
- Security and Safety: Basic security clearance.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week.
