Project Engineer or Project Manager

Robinson Consultants Inc. is a multi-disciplinary employee-owned engineering firm seeking a self-motivated Project Engineer or Project Manager to join our collaborative and dynamic team in our Ottawa office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in project engineering teams to define problems, establish scope, prepare budgets and schedules, and provide technical direction and oversight.
  • Perform technical engineering tasks efficiently and accurately with increasing levels of complexity.
  • Provide guidance and technical support during construction, and prepare detailed engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Prepare project reports and technical proposals, and provide input and technical guidance to designers, technicians, and engineers.
Project Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead projects independently or as part of a team to define problems, establish scope, prepare budgets and schedules, and provide technical direction and oversight.
  • Manage multiple projects during planning, design, and contract administration phases, including financial performance.
  • Plan, organize, and control project budgets and schedules, and lead projects or technical components from planning through design and technical support during construction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and a currently licensed Professional Engineer.
  • 5-8 years or more of progressive engineering design experience, including roadway design, active transportation, AODA considerations, and roadway safety.
  • Familiarity with transportation engineering principles and practices, and exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, and a valid driver's license with access to a vehicle.
