About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at 2527531 Ontario Inc. as a Team Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, and leading a team of sales staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Lead a Team: Direct and motivate a team of sales staff, including apprentices, stages hands, and design team members, to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively allocate tasks and responsibilities to sales staff to ensure efficient store operations and maximize sales potential.
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop sales staff to meet the needs of the store and provide opportunities for growth and development.
  • Authorize Payments and Manage Finances: Oversee the authorization of payments by cheque and manage store finances to ensure accurate and timely transactions.
  • Order Merchandise and Manage Inventory: Coordinate the ordering of merchandise and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize waste.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
  • Oversee Payroll Administration: Manage payroll administration, including processing payrolls, managing benefits, and ensuring compliance with employment laws.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
Work Environment

Our retail store is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
