Food Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Store Manager to join our team at Westview Co-operative Association Limited. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for the overall safe and effective operations of our Food Store.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional member service and maintain a safe, secure, and legal working environment.
- Select, orientate, develop, and train Team Members to achieve results and meet required expectations.
- Participate in staff communication, including huddle ups, splinter meetings, and sit-down meetings.
- Coordinating workloads and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operational information.
- Train team members and team leaders on the importance of sanitation and safety procedures.
- Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budgets, and controlling expenditures.
- Maintain exceptional service by enforcing quality customer interactions and problem-solving.
- Pursue continual learning by attending educational workshops and marketing meetings.
- Self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, responsible, friendly, hard-working, and positive; results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you can do.
- Solid time management skills and ability to handle pressure and provide feedback to team members and team leaders.
- 3 – 5 years of experience in a supervisory role in the retail food industry.
- Being a role model to their team leaders and team members.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and skills in performance management, coaching, supervision, quality management, results achievement, developing budgets, implementing standards, fostering teamwork, and leading a team.
- Commitment to cooperative values and principles of Integrity, Community, and Teamwork.
- Food Manager Training Program an asset and Food Safe Certification.
- Sense of urgency and customer-first attitude and physically capable of performing dynamic and static movements, repetitive motions, and repeated lifting of up to 50 lbs unassisted.
- Possess a valid driver's license and subject to a criminal record check and employment verification.
