Food Store Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Store Manager to join our team at Federated Co-operatives Limited. As a Food Store Manager, you will be responsible for the overall safe and effective operations of the Food Store, ensuring that facilities adhere to or exceed Brand Standards and expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional member service and maintain a safe, secure, and legal working environment.
- Maintain staff levels by selecting, orientating, developing personal growth opportunities, and training Team Members.
- Participate in staff communication, such as huddle ups, splinter meetings, and/or sit-down meetings.
- Coordinating workloads and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
- Establish strategic goals by gathering pertinent business, financial, service, and operational information; identifying and evaluating trends and options; choosing a course of action; defining objectives; evaluating outcomes.
- Train team members and team leaders on the importance of sanitation and safety procedures.
- Achieve financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing annual budgets; controlling expenditures; analyzing variances with team leaders; initiating corrective actions.
- Maintain exceptional service by enforcing quality customer interactions and problem-solving.
- Pursue continual learning by attending educational workshops available on the CRS hub, CRS courses, and marketing meetings.
- Self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, responsible, friendly, hardworking, and positive, with a results-oriented approach.
- Solid time management skills and ability to handle pressure and provide feedback to team members and team leaders in tough or uncomfortable situations.
- Minimum of five to ten years of progressive, successful, related retail management experience.
- Post-secondary education in business or a related field would be an asset.
- A valid Alberta Driver's License is required for travel to a variety of retail locations in Central Alberta and some out-of-province travel.
