About the Role

This is a permanent position, requiring a minimum of 35 hours per week, with a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $65,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of our financial operations, including bookkeeping, financial reporting, and budgeting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping and Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, prepare trial balances, and reconcile accounts to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
  • Financial Analysis and Budgeting: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement, and assist in developing and implementing budgets that align with our company's goals.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A diploma from a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate program of three months to less than one year.
  • At least six months of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
