As a key member of the Bunge team, the Environmental Health and Safety Manager will provide leadership and technical expertise to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of all EHS programs and plans, promoting a safety-first culture and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement EHS standards and programs to prevent serious injuries, fatalities, and environmental incidents.
  • Provide technical EHS support to the plant leadership team and workforce.
  • Coach and develop employees on safety leadership and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Implement EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Assist with the deployment of Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) philosophy and training.
  • Monitor and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and permits to ensure compliance with Bunge global requirements.
  • Perform observations and audits to monitor the effectiveness of EHS programs.
  • Track and investigate injuries, illnesses, and environmental incidents.
  • Promote environmental sustainability and partner with the corporate environmental team.
  • Ensure fire protection and security systems are properly managed.
  • Develop and execute emergency response plans.
  • Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Plan (RMP) programs.
  • Serve as liaison between government agencies and local safety teams.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental/Health Science, Engineering, or closely related field.
  • 10+ years of safety and environmental experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in improving SIF potential incidents and HPEs.
  • Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in business software such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
