About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Bombardier Transportation GmbH. As a key member of our Data Science team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing advanced data analytics and machine learning solutions to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and preprocess data from various sources, including SAP, Salesforce, and IoT devices, to extract insights and generate business value.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to identify trends and patterns in data.
  • Develop, train, validate, and monitor machine learning models to propel our Digital Portfolio of customer-facing applications and increase productivity in our Aftermarket tools and processes.
  • Collaborate with data and MLOps engineers to ensure successful productionization of models and desired outcomes.
  • Work closely with aircraft system engineers, technical specialists, and field service representatives to develop a state-of-the-art Predictive Maintenance solution.
  • Conduct literature reviews and competitive intelligence on AI-powered digital products and services tailored to the business aviation industry.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience deploying big data analytics in the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade, fully productionized MLOps pipelines.
  • Experience with time-series data, particularly telemetry (sensor-based) data.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and aircraft systems.
  • Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem of machine learning libraries.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French (asset).
