About the Role

Bombardier Transportation GmbH is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in driving business growth and innovation through data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and preprocess data from various sources, including SAP, Salesforce, and IoT devices, to extract valuable business insights.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering to identify new opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models to drive business outcomes and increase productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions that meet business needs.
  • Work closely with data engineers to ensure seamless integration of data pipelines and model deployment.
  • Conduct literature reviews and competitive intelligence to stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in developing AI/ML solutions in a business context with significant benefits.
  • Experience deploying big data analytics in the cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience supporting enterprise-grade, fully productionized MLOps pipelines.
  • Experience with time-series data, particularly telemetry (sensor-based) data.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance and aircraft systems (asset).
  • Proficiency in Python and its ecosystem of machine learning libraries.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
