Responsibilities- Develop and implement personalized dental hygiene treatment plans to ensure optimal patient oral health
- Conduct thorough medical health history screenings and updates to identify potential risks and ensure safe treatment
- Perform routine assessments, including full mouth charting, probing, and oral cancer screening, to identify conditions and oral diseases
- Take radiographs and impressions as prescribed by the dentist, and provide intraoral photos to support treatment planning
- Identify gaps in clinical schedules and assist with scheduling, including booking preventive recall appointments and following up on outstanding treatment plans
- Collaborate with colleagues during downtime to ensure efficient use of time and resources
- Attend continuing education events to stay up-to-date on the latest techniques and best practices
- Diploma or degree in dental hygiene
- Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO
- 2+ years of experience as a dental hygienist
- Experience ensuring infection control and making assessments of oral health
- Experience with different types of intraoral radiographs and their interpretation
- Experience gathering client health history information and assessing risks associated with treatment plans
- Trained in Covid-19 IPAC regulations in client care
- Experience with dental software such as SAPPHIRE, Tracker, and Abeldent
- Outstanding communication skills and attention to detail
