About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at MCA Dental Group. As a key member of our dental hygiene team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the highest standards of oral health.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalized dental hygiene treatment plans for patients, focusing on prevention and education.
  • Conduct thorough medical and dental health history screenings, and update patient records as necessary.
  • Perform routine assessments, including full mouth charting, probing, and oral cancer screening.
  • Take radiographs and impressions as prescribed by the dentist, and intraoral photos.
  • Identify and address conditions such as gingivitis, caries, and periodontitis.
  • Develop and implement patient-specific preventive dental care plans, including scaling, prophy, and fluoride treatments.
  • Provide oral hygiene instruction, plaque control guidance, and post-operative instructions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation and charting.
  • Identify scheduling gaps and assist with scheduling, including booking preventive recall appointments and following up on outstanding treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues during downtime to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene.
  • Registered Dental Hygienist in good standing with the CDHO.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist.
  • Proven experience in infection control and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ability to assess oral health, hard tissue, and periodontal conditions, and provide effective care.
  • Experience with different types of intraoral radiographs and their interpretation.
  • Ability to gather client health history information and assess risks associated with treatment plans.
  • Training in Covid-19 IPAC regulations and client care.
  • Experience with dental software such as SAPPHIRE, Tracker, and Abeldent.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • A friendly and collaborative personality.
Benefits
  • Competitive hourly rate of $47.00-$52.00.
  • Full-time, permanent position with a maximum of 40 hours per week.
