Job Summary

The Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) is seeking a skilled Sr Analyst, Contracts to join its team. As a key member of our Legal Resources & Corporate Governance department, you will be responsible for managing and executing contracts for our natural gas and storage portfolio.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage and negotiate contracts with external counterparties to ensure compliance with IESO policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contract counterparties to resolve issues and ensure smooth contract execution.
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to contract management processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely completion of contract milestones and associated tasks.
  • Provide analytical support and recommendations to ensure contract management processes and documents are effective, efficient, expeditious, ethical, and provide the best possible value to the IESO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business.
  • At least 2 years of progressive electricity industry experience, including generation development.
  • Strong understanding of business principles and processes as they relate to technology and procurement.
  • Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and coordinate with IESO staff and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to adapt and embrace change in a fast-paced, changing environment.
