About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team in the GTA offices. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing and dynamic employee-owned company, in a professional working environment that is quality-driven and client-focused.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Business Leads and Managers to develop and implement civil design strategies for linear infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate all aspects of civil design, including design development, verification, and completion within budget and schedule.
  • Develop or verify the technical scope of projects, ensuring client requirements are met.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues.
  • Work closely with the engineering group to facilitate decision-making related to civil design.
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed and mentor junior staff.
  • Represent GHD at client meetings when required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from a recognized college or university.
  • Professional Engineering (P. Eng) license with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) is required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of extensive technical design experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on linear infrastructure.
  • Experience working in a Design Build environment.
  • Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards is considered essential.
  • Experience working in an integrated 3D environment.
  • Team building and mentoring skills.
