About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at GHD. As a Senior Civil Engineer - Site Remediation and Earthworks Specialist, you will be responsible for leading the design and delivery of complex civil engineering projects, with a focus on earthworks, site remediation, and solid waste management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of civil engineering projects, including earthworks, site remediation, and solid waste management.
  • Work closely with business leads, project directors, and managers to develop and implement project plans.
  • Coordinate with the engineering group to facilitate decision-making and ensure project deliverables are met.
  • Develop and verify technical scopes of projects, ensuring client requirements are integrated into the project.
  • Ensure quality control processes are followed and mentor junior staff to develop their skills.
  • Represent GHD at client meetings and ensure client satisfaction.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering and P. Eng in Ontario.
  • Minimum of 10 years of extensive technical design experience.
  • Proven experience in civil design delivery for larger, multi-discipline projects with a focus on earthworks, site remediation, and solid waste management.
  • Detailed understanding of local Agency (or equivalent) Codes and Standards.
  • Experience working in an integrated 3D environment.
  • Team building and mentoring skills.
