Student Recruiter Advisor

The Associate Student Recruiter Advisor is a key member of the Douglas College team, responsible for promoting programs and services to domestic students. This role involves maintaining and executing domestic student recruitment programs, providing exceptional client-centred service, and supervising the Student Ambassador volunteer group.
Key Responsibilities- Domestic Student Recruitment
- Promote and coordinate programs for domestic student recruitment, including presentations to small and large groups.
- Provide accurate information to domestic students on possible post-secondary programs at Douglas College.
- Establish vital connections and rapport with public and independent secondary schools, government agencies, and parent and community groups.
- Student Ambassador Supervision
- Direct FSO student staff in their support of Student Ambassador activities.
- Lead the process of identification and recruitment of students for the DC Ambassador Program.
- Conduct interactive and innovative trainings and group meetings for the Ambassadors.
- Event Supervision
- Provide onsite supervision for College events that involve student activities.
- Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a related field from a recognized post-secondary educational institution.
- A working knowledge of the B.C. post-secondary education system, including admission requirements and programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in the English language.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.
- A valid B.C. driver's license and access to a motor vehicle.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the B.C. post-secondary education system, excellent communication skills, and the ability to execute student recruiting activities. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a valid B.C. driver's license.
