About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiation Protection Specialist to join our team at WSP Canada. This exciting opportunity is based in Port Hope, Ontario, and involves working on the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI) project.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the site's radiation protection program. This includes measuring gamma radiation fields, surface contamination using radiation detectors or swipe sampling, and managing personal dosimeters for the workforce. Additionally, they will deploy radon monitors, ensure calibration of all radiation detection equipment, and summarize and analyze routine data for compilation into reports.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of radiation safety principles and experience with typical Microsoft Office products such as Excel. They will also be eligible for CNL Reliability Status and have a background in nuclear engineering, radiation protection, or health physics.
