About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Ultramar & Express. As a Retail Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet sales targets.
  • Authorize Payments: Verify and authorize payments by cheque, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and compliant with company policies.
  • Order Merchandise: Source and purchase merchandise for the store, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that products are of high quality.
  • Authorize Return of Merchandise: Review and authorize returns of merchandise, ensuring that all returns are processed in accordance with company policies.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules for sales workers, ensuring that the store is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Sell Merchandise: Assist customers with purchases, answering questions and providing product information as needed.
  • Prepare Reports: Compile and analyze sales data, preparing reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Resolve Issues: Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organize Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory levels, ensuring that stock is properly stored and that inventory is up-to-date.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales workers, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet sales targets.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
