About PBS Systems

PBS Systems is a leading provider of dealership management systems (DMS) in North America, serving over 30 years in the industry. Our software platform is designed to streamline dealership operations, and we're looking for a skilled Automotive Software Trainer to join our team.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Automotive Software Trainer to provide support and training to our customers on our Dealer Management Software (DMS). As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for assisting customers with virtual training, online and on the phone, as well as onsite training at customer locations. This role requires frequent travel to customer sites throughout North America.

Responsibilities
  • Learn and develop an understanding of our PBS software
  • Develop an understanding of the process for training customers on our software
  • Learn and develop an understanding of data entry and other key tasks
  • Assist customers with software implementation and training
  • Provide excellent support to our customers in our software
  • Work directly with customers and train all sessions in assigned silo and if possible other silos
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensuring they are being met or exceeded
  • Respond to both internal and external training requests in a timely manner
  • Write up tickets and investigate issues that arise and escalate issues to the corresponding teams
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment
  • Knowledge sharing within own silo and others within DTO
  • Maintain documentation and update as processes change within the department
  • Willingsness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
  • Ensure DTO queue is monitored
  • Willingsness to go the "Extra Mile"
Qualifications
  • Experience in the parts and/or service area of a dealership preferred
  • 1-2 years' previous experience in the automotive industry, dealership environment or PBS is preferred
  • High School Diploma
  • Computer proficient with knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Effective time management & organizational skills
  • Strong multi-tasking & prioritization
  • Fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 2 weeks per month
