Job Summary

The School Nurse is a vital member of the Natrona County School District team, responsible for providing health and wellness services to students and staff. This role requires a strong background in nursing, with a focus on promoting healthy lifestyles and addressing health-related barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide acute, chronic, and routine nursing care to students, including vision, hearing, and dental screenings.
  • Monitor and evaluate student health, collecting and documenting health information for accurate and up-to-date student health records.
  • Act as a first responder in medical emergencies, providing emergency care and triage as needed.
  • Provide health assessments and evaluations, supporting students' ability to learn and thrive.
  • Maintain student immunization records, ensuring district compliance with Wyoming Immunization Law.
  • Collaborate with school staff, home, and community agencies to provide resource information and support student health needs.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse by the Wyoming State Board of Nursing.
  • A Baccalaureate degree (B.S.) in Nursing from an accredited four-year college or university.
