Job Title: Answering Service Operator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Answering Service Operator to join our team at Scotia Business Centre Limited.

Job Summary:

The Answering Service Operator will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to clients and the public, responding to inquiries, and handling a high volume of calls and messages.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients and the public via phone, email, and in-person
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Operate a switchboard or telephone system to manage incoming and outgoing calls
  • Record and relay information to clients and internal teams
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, send invoices, and maintain work records and logs
  • Perform clerical duties, such as filing, sorting, and distributing mail
  • Answer telephone calls and relay messages to clients and internal teams
  • Calculate billing charges and monitor mobile radio or telephone
  • Provide emergency services and operate dispatch systems
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Efficient interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Reliability, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team
