Clinical Forensic Psychologist

We are seeking a Clinical Forensic Psychologist to join our team at the Child, Youth, and Emerging Adult Program (CYEAP) within the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health - CAMH. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical psychological assessment and testing services, primarily in the area of youth with our Youth Justice Assessment Clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret psychological and psychoeducational standardized measures
  • Prepare court-ordered psychological assessment reports
  • Provide feedback to staff and to families
  • Supervise and provide support to clinical students and staff in the clinical assessment of clients and the preparation of court reports

Requirements:

  • Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario to work with youth as both a Clinical and Forensic Psychologist
  • Doctoral degree in Psychology with 3 years clinical experience
  • Knowledge of and clinical experience working with justice-involved youth, in an integrated clinical/research environment
  • Strong theoretical background in developmental psychopathology as well as youth and family clinical interviewing and assessment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using recognized risk assessment tools such as the Youth Level of Service Inventory (YLS), the SAVRY, and the ERASOR
  • Experience in efficient preparation and writing of reports for court
  • Clinical experience working with complex and challenging youth within this age group and their families
