Job Title: Deputy Director of Real Property Management

The Parliament of Canada's Real Property Team is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to support the strategic and operational management of our real property division.

About the Role:

As a Deputy Director of Real Property Management, you will oversee the effective delivery of projects and services that uphold the high standards of the House of Commons. This involves managing facilities planning, real estate management, facilities operations, project delivery, resource allocation, stakeholder engagement, and performance management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for real property management
  • Oversee facilities planning, design, and construction projects
  • Manage real estate portfolios and negotiate leases
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for facilities operations
  • Lead teams in aligning project objectives with the organization's strategic vision
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in architecture, design, engineering, facility management, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in project or facilities planning, reporting, scheduling, and risk assessment
  • Skilled in quality assurance and leading teams for high-value and complex projects
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of the organizational structure of the House of Commons
