Compensation: $20-$25 per hour (full-time / permanent)

At On Side Restoration, we're seeking a skilled Water Damage Restoration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our disaster recovery team, you'll be responsible for responding to water-related emergencies and restoring properties to their pre-disaster state.

The Job – Water Damage Restoration Specialist

As a Water Damage Restoration Specialist, you'll work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide timely, effective solutions. Your expertise will include:

  • Mechanical aptitude – you can look at something and just know how it works
  • Detail oriented and curious
  • Organized with a good sense of time – you're rarely late and know where all your tools are
  • Physically fit – water damage can, at times, include heavy lifting and getting into (and out of) tight places
  • Friendly and enjoys working in a team
  • A safety-first mindset
  • Valid driver's licence & clean drivers abstract
  • Able to successfully satisfy On Side's criminal record check requirements
  • Ability to communicate in English or French (QC) at an intermediate level

Past industry experience (although not required) that can translate into success as a Water Damage Restoration Specialist includes: demolition work, carpenter, apprentice, construction labourer, plumber, farm hand, janitor, landscaper, vac truck operator, laborer, swamper, technician.

Other stuff that will contribute to your success but isn't required:

  • IICRC Water Damage Technician Certification (if you don't have this, we'll help you get it)

Of Note

Disasters can strike at any time, so a rotating schedule of 24/7 after hours on-call work is a requirement.
