Are you a driven and detail-oriented legal professional looking for a challenging opportunity? Powertech Labs is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Legal Advisor to join our team.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per year.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and versatile legal expert who can provide strategic guidance on commercial law matters. As a Senior Commercial Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on a wide range of commercial law issues, including contract negotiation, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our business units to develop and implement effective legal strategies that drive business growth and success. You will also be responsible for managing a large portfolio of contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice on commercial law matters, including contract negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to support business growth and success.

  • Collaborate with business units to identify and mitigate potential legal risks.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in commercial law and regulations, and advise on best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A law degree and eligibility to practice law in British Columbia.
  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in commercial law, preferably in-house or with a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law, including contract law, tort law, and employment law.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and manage competing priorities.
